Saving a child from acute brain hemorrhage in Al-Rass Hospital

A medical team specializing in neurosurgery in the Al-Qassim region conducted a surgery for a child who fell on his head from a height of a meter, which lasted 3 hours, and was crowned with success. Al-Qassim Health Cluster stated that neurologists at Al-Rass Hospital received a case of a two-year-old child in a state of coma, which necessitated Immediately, clinical examinations and CT scans were performed, which confirmed the presence of severe and dangerous bleeding in the brain, as a result of the head hitting the ground.

The medical team treating the case confirmed that it immediately coordinated with the Department of Anesthesia, Operations and Intensive Care to transfer the child from the emergency room to the operating room, and he underwent an urgent surgery, as the child’s condition was very critical during the operation due to the severity of the bleeding, as the skull was opened and the bleeding was emptied, then the bones of the skull were put back in place. After the successful operation, the child was transferred to the Intensive Care Department for one day, and then referred to the inpatient department for two days, after which he left the hospital healthy and in a normal and stable health condition.
