It seems inevitable from the new Corona mutant, no matter how we elude, Omicron “will infect almost everyone,” at least what was announced by the White House adviser on the health crisis, Anthony Fauci.
“We are not currently at a point where we can reasonably say to people that they have lived with the virus, because of the current pressure on the care system, but I think we will get there,” Fauci said.
It is likely that “almost everyone” will be infected with the Omicron mutant, because it is highly contagious, indicating that it is unlikely that Corona will be completely eradicated.
The famous expert in the United States also indicated that despite the record number of hospitalized cases due to infection with Covid-19, the United States may be “on the threshold” of a transition period after which it will be possible to “coexist with” Corona.
He added during a meeting organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, “When we reach that, this will be a transitional period, and we may be at its threshold today.”
It is noteworthy that the United States exceeded the record number of Covid-19 cases that required hospitalization, with nearly 146,000 injured in hospitals across the country.
While about 24,000 of them are in intensive care units, according to US Department of Health data on Tuesday.
The previous record was just over 142,000 on January 14, 2021, almost perfect a year ago.
