The Ile-de-France SME Airwell, French leader in air conditioning and heat pumps, will soon be doing a trial run on the stock market. She is waiting for a date to join the Euronext Access compartment of the Paris Stock Exchange.
Airwell then hopes to join Euronext Growth depending on market appetite. “The IPO is a logical development for our company. This will allow us to finance our growth and pursue our investments », Announcement Laurent Roegel, President of Airwell since 2017.
After a long crossing of the desert, the company based in Montigny-le-Bretonneux (Yvelines) where it employs 70 people is in strong development. She made the choice to stand out with solar energy and home automation powered by artificial intelligence. Customers can for example use an air conditioner or a heat pump powered by a photovoltaic panel.
R & D platform
To go further in technological innovation, an R&D platform is being built in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (Yvelines) with the ambition of recruiting around thirty employees by 2022 to reach around one hundred employees.
With a turnover of 39 million euros in 2020 and present in 80 countries, especially overseas, in Europe and in French-speaking Africa, Airwell hopes to reach 100 million euros in 2025. “An achievable and reasonable objective given the boom in the market with the application of the thermal regulation RE 2020, which prohibits the installation of gas or fuel oil boilers ”, specifies Laurent Roegel, who sees, in the IPO of his company, a rebirth.
The connected home seen by Airwell
Airwell has come a long way. After changing owners in 1992 following financial difficulties, the company suffered the full brunt of the 2008 crisis with the closure of unprofitable structures. Turnover of 700 million euros in 2008 collapsed to 40 million in 2012. That year, the SME reorganized and sold activities to continue to optimize its profitability. Almost ten years later, the group’s strategy seems to be bearing fruit.
Laurent Roegel also created Airwell Academy, training centers for installers where they can improve their skills on Airwell products, but also on air conditioning and heating in general, regulations … “We also offer them qualifying and certifying training courses, including they need to exercise their profession, ”continues the manager.
